Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Purelian collects through purelian.com and purelian.ai, the early-access list and the Purelian app for invited members, and how we use and protect it. We collect as little as we can, we explain it plainly, and we never sell it.
1. Who we are
Purelian LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, is responsible for your data (the "controller"). For anything privacy-related, write to support@purelian.com.
2. What we collect
- Early-access list: your first name, your email, your optional answer to "which area of your life do you most want to upgrade first", the date you applied, how you found us (the referring page and any campaign tags in the link, both on your first visit and when you apply, and the page you first landed on), your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your connection; we never store your IP address) and your device and browser type. This helps us understand where interest in Purelian comes from.
- Purelian app (invited members): your email and display name, language, what you enter (situations, body signals, aspirations, notes, messages to Purelian), your practice history, and — if you choose to — a photo of yourself that we draw your character from.
- The Loop (optional, only with your consent): while you test Purelian with the Loop switched on, the app records your voice and a video of your screen inside the app, in short pieces, and sends them to us so we can hear what you meet and fix it. You see when it is recording, you can pause or end it at any time, and nothing is recorded while it shows "Paused". These recordings are read by our team and by our AI tools to find what to improve; they are never published and never shown to other members.
- Finding friends (optional): if you choose to find friends who use Purelian, the app sends us a one-way scrambled version (a hash) of the phone numbers and emails in your contacts, compares them with members who did the same, and discards what does not match. We never receive your contacts as names or numbers, and we never contact them.
- Technical data: basic device and browser information and error logs, used to keep things working.
- Payments (when paid plans open): handled by Stripe. We receive your billing status, never your full card details.
We don't collect your precise location or health data from health apps. Body signals you enter yourself are kept as your own notes.
3. Why we use it
- To run the early-access list and email you about it. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw any time with the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.
- To provide the app and your account. Legal basis: our contract with you.
- To keep the service secure and fix errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, safe service.
- To improve Purelian. We study how the app is used and what members choose to share, in aggregated or de-identified form, to learn what helps people most and to make it better. Your private entries are never published or shown to other members. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service.
- To read what Loop testers meet. Loop recordings are used only to understand how Purelian behaves for you and to improve it. Legal basis: your consent, given when you switch the Loop on and withdrawable by switching it off or writing to us; recordings made before that stay unless you ask us to delete them.
- To meet legal and tax duties. Legal basis: legal obligation.
4. Who processes it for us
Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, EU region), Netlify (website hosting), Cloudflare (traffic protection in front of purelian.com), Resend (sending emails), Anthropic (Purelian's readings and replies, and placing the Key on your drawn character: your words and the drawing are processed to write and place them, and are not used to train models), OpenAI (drawing your character from the photo you choose to give: the photo is processed to draw it, is not used for training, and is held by OpenAI for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring), our own speech-to-text and voice systems, running on servers we rent (RunPod), Apple (if you set up a Personal Voice, Purelian uses it on your phone only; nothing is sent to us or to Apple by Purelian) and Stripe (payments, once paid plans open). Purelian's own voice is pre-recorded, or generated by our own voice system from Tom's recordings. Each receives only what it needs. We don't share your data with advertisers.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where they do, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
6. How long we keep it
Early-access list: until you unsubscribe, or until you're invited and create an account. App account: while it's active. When you ask to delete it, any subscription is cancelled at once and your account is held for 30 days: sign back in within those days and the deletion is cancelled. After that, personal data is removed from our main systems, we confirm by email, and backups clear within 90 days. Loop recordings: kept for up to 12 months after the recording, then deleted; sooner if you ask. Transcripts of what you said in them are kept while your account is active, as product records.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent, by writing to support@purelian.com or using account deletion in the app (how to delete your account). If you live in the EU/EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
We only use cookies and local storage the site needs to work, such as keeping you signed in, plus one local-storage note of how you first arrived (the referring page, campaign tags and landing page) that is sent with your request only if you apply for early access. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers, and access is limited to what's needed. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you without undue delay.
10. Age
Purelian is not for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, write to us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes
We'll post changes here with a new date, and email you if a change is significant.
